TLDs stitched onto the template and positioned in a full-scatter water tank for dose linearity assessment with fixed diameter (20 mm) circle of detectors around the sources; (c) radial dose measurement in which the two spiral arrangements of detectors to avoid attenuation from neighbouring detectors, and with 180º positioning of each pair of TLDs to mitigate source position uncertainties.

The DOSEmapperSpiral™ is a set of micro silica bead TLDs (e.g. 4 arms of 12) sewn onto a laminated sheet of paper with positioning accuracy of ±0.1 mm. The DOSEmapperSpiral™ is usually used in brachytherapy source commissioning measurements in a water tank [ref].

The DOSEmapperSpiral™ technology enables the full radial dose distribution to be measured with identical TLDs covering doses of few hundreds of Gy down to mGy.
